AFM Bulawayo North Province Donates to Tsholotsho Flood Victims.

In a feat towards humanitarian relief, AFM in Zimbabwe today donated over 5 tonnes of clothes, blankets and household items to victims of the Tsholotsho Cyclone Dineo disaster where many families lost property to floods. The handover ceremony was held at AFM City Centre Church in Bulawayo. Dr A Madziyire (AFM in Zimbabwe President and International Deputy President) officiated the handover ceremony for the church while on the receiving side, Government Minister Honorable C. Matema together with Tsholotsho DA Ms Zhou and CEO Mr T. Moyo received the items.
The goods were donated by church members through their Assemblies. In his Speech, Dr Madziyire said “When we, as AFM in Zimbabwe, heard through the Media that a cyclone had struck and left a trail of destruction in Tsholotsho, we felt an obligation to chip in as part of our corporate social responsibility and Biblical mandate. We were touched by the plight of the women, children and the elderly in such a situation. We were then reminded of what Scripture says….’Though I speak with tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal’ 1 Cor 13:1. Not wanting to be sounding brass or tinkling cymbals who play no part in charitable deeds, the AFM church in Bulawayo North Province organized itself and called for donations from among its membership.” Honorable Matema and Ms Zhou responded by thanking AFM in Zimbabwe for the generous gift to the affected people of Tsholotsho.
