Harare South Provinces Honours AFM Matriarchs

AFM in Zimbabwe’s Harare South Province last week honoured women who worked side by side with their husband to build the church’s rich history to where it is today. The Province is led by Overseer and Mrs Musasa.

This vision, which was birthed and executed by Mrs Musasa, the Chairlady and her Provincial ladies’ committee, came to fruition at the just ended Provincial Ladies’ Conference. The Spiritual Conference ran from the 29th of June to the 2nd of July 2017. The invited matriarchs included Mrs Madziyire, Mrs Chiangwa, Mrs W. Murefu, Mrs Mutemererwa, Mrs Chiweshe, Mrs Mazadza, Mrs Shumbambiri, Mrs Munjeri and Mrs Magaya.

The purpose of the event was for the Province to appreciate the roles played by each one of them in the church at large and the Province. There was immeasurable joy in the hearts of many to have them in their midst. The celebration came to the peak after Mrs Mutemererwa had preached a moving sermon which reminded people the importance of looking after their parents. They then laid hands to bless each and every one that had gathered.

The Overseer Rev Musasa said, with tears of joy, that they had waited for a long time to host such an event which besides getting the Province blessed but also for young people were given an opportunity to connect with the church’s rich heritage and legacy. Speaking on behalf of the Matriarchs, Mrs Murefu thanked the Province and its leadership for such an honour. She said they did not expect it at all.

At the end of the grand occasion, the Province showed the Guests with gifts in the form of blankets, food, decorated cakes and cash.

What a day it was.
